Prachanda asks NC: Which side are you with? BP or Matrika Koirala

Kathmandu, October 11. An emotional Prachanda said the Nepali Congress has made a major miss in the process of forming a consensus government.

Speaking in the Parliament before the prime ministerial election, the UCPN-Maoist Chair reiterated that while reaching a 16-point agreement there had been an understanding to form a government under the CPN-UML leadership after constitution promulgation.

In a remark laden with emotions, Prachanda said, “We made a major miss. The Congress made a major miss. I am feeling sad.”

He further said some force is trying to split us. The same force had tried to pose obstacles in our path. The same force is trying to wreak havoc.

Nepal’s history laws bare conflicts between pro-Indian and nationalist forces, he said, recalling what he called Jung Bahadur and Bhimsen Thapa tendencies. Then he posed a brutal question towards NC lawmakers: Which side are you with? Matrika Koirala or BP Koirala?

NC candidate was in more than a somber mood — he appeared extremely sad – when Prachanda posed this question.
