Proud to stand for national self-esteem, says RRP Nepal
Online Khabar
Kathmandu, October 11. Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal President Kamal Thapa said he feels proud to stand in favour of national pride and self-esteem.
Thapa said his party is supporting UML candidate for PM’s post, KP Sharma Oli, because it feels he can better defend the country’s vital interests.
At this juncture, Oli’s leadership can better defend nationality, strengthen democracy and fulfil Nepali people’s aspirations for progress and prosperity, Thapa said. He said there’s no alternative to national unity for the resolution of the prevailing national crisis.
We told (the three parties) to form a government and said RPP-Nepal is ready to stay in the opposition, Thapa said, adding: “The country has paid a huge price whenever unity between national forces has broken.”
The rift between two major parties – NC and UML – is not a good omen, he said, adding that his party chose one party over the other because it had to. He expressed hope that Oli government will be able to stand for the country, resolve the Tarai crisis and contribute to nation building.
