Sushil accuses UML of breaching agreement

Kathmandu, October 11. Nepali Congress President and candidate for Prime Minister, Sushil Koirala, has accused parties, including the CPN-UML, of breaching agreement.
While fielding his candidature for the PM’s post in the Parliament, Koirala said they – Congress, CPN-UML, UCPN-Maoist and Madheshi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) – had reached no understanding while signing a 16-point agreement that elevated him to the post of prime minister. The UML and the Maoist party often refer to what they call a ‘gentleman’s understanding’ that promised formation of a government under UML after constitution promulgation.
Koirala recalled facing imprisonment while struggling for the country and democracy. The NC chief said he was contesting the race for the sake of democratic process, not for the post.
